greetings from one of the most conservative counties in the USA -EL Paso County . I know dux is republican, but is Plymouth County ??
I mentioned earlier, it would be fun to have a "political dialogue ". Anything goes. Be honest. I've been learning that considering opposite views, even changing your mind , is healthy for the brain in many ways. Most people get more and more "grooved into" their views as they age, I can certainly see that in myself, and the brain gets less flexible over time. and these people die at an earlier age. So I want to use this forum to help me live longer. changing your mind about anything is unlikely, esp for me, but if one of us does change our mind about anything I'm guessing it would be once every 2-3 yrs. but just honestly considering an opp view is healthy. consider ben franklins thought on this. (go to my info page in FB to find it. (I dont want to close this window right now. ) I've been reading a fascinating book that touches on this topic: Mistakes were made but not by me-tavris and aronson.
The reason I have time to write so much this time is that I was supposed to be orlando at a 5 day course. Our flight to Denver was delayed and we were unable to catch a direct flight ,or indirect to orlando wihout missing the first day. Next time I'll buy my own tix and get reimbursed later. Since I had no patients on my schedule I had 4 days off from work. which was a good thing - I had to miss 8 days of running for the first time in 7 yrs. because of an ankle problem (now healed). I began developing a headache- constantly, 4 advil had no effect , and I couldn't sleep at night. Never had these symptoms before. after dealing with this for 6 days I finally realized what was happening - running withdrawl (opiate withdrawal ).
OK, first thoughts:
I chuckle about the "rage" of teapartiers. Where was that rage when Bush increased the national debt by 4 trillion dollars ??
